Kaseya DattoCon Miami 2024 began with a packed house that included 3,500 attendees as CEO Fred Voccola and CPO Rajan Singh unveiled a host of groundbreaking innovations and new product features and functions on Tuesday. But that wasn’t all the morning held. Two industry-transforming developments were also announced: the launch of Kaseya 365 User and Kaseya’s acquisition of SaaS Alerts.

Introducing Kaseya 365 User

The biggest buzz of the day came from Kaseya CEO Fred Voccola, who announced the launch of Kaseya 365 User during the CEO Keynote. Building on the success of Kaseya 365 Endpoint, introduced in April 2024, this new solution empowers MSPs to help customers prevent, respond to and recover from threats targeting user identity and security.

The 5 key components of Kaseya 365 User

Five key components make up Kaseya 365 User. Each component aligns to a Kaseya module and speaks to the three core pillars of prevention, response and recovery.

  • Dark web monitoring: Dark Web ID scans the dark web for compromised user credentials, providing the information you need to proactively prevent an attack or breach.
  • User awareness training and testing: BullPhish ID trains and tests users to ensure they have the education and skills needed to identify, and thus prevent, a potential attack.
  • Anti-phishing defense: Graphus identifies and blocks suspicious emails by removing them and preventing damage before they reach users.
  • Cloud detection and response: SaaS Alerts automatically detects and remediates security breaches in SaaS applications, responding to suspicious behavior with immediate action.
  • SaaS backup: Datto SaaS Protection or Spanning make it easy to recover the most recent version of your encrypted or damaged cloud-based critical business data, should an attack occur.

The newest entry into the proud Kaseya 365 family goes beyond the endpoint to encompass user security, identities and data preservation in one smart, affordable package.

Kaseya acquires SaaS Alerts

Voccola also announced the acquisition of SaaS Alerts, a powerful cybersecurity platform built for MSPs. This industry-leading solution empowers MSPs with real-time monitoring and protection of customers’ SaaS applications, detecting and addressing threats from both internal and external sources.

With machine learning-driven pattern detection, SaaS Alerts identifies breaches, sends instant alerts and locks compromised accounts to prevent further damage. Included at no extra cost with the Kaseya 365 User subscription, this tool ensures 24/7 seamless SaaS security and keeps business operations running smoothly.

Key features of SaaS Alerts

SaaS Alerts brings myriad functions to the table that make MSPs more efficient and help them better secure their customers.

  • Real-time monitoring: Instantly detects unusual user behavior to enable a swift response to threats.
  • Automated remediation: Locks breached accounts and terminates risky file-sharing activities to mitigate threats.
  • Efficient Microsoft 365 protection: Applies security recommendations across tenants in minutes with the Fortify module.
  • Enhanced identity validation: Links SaaS apps with managed devices to strengthen user identity and cyber protection with Unify.
  • Internal monitoring of MSP tools: Tracks user activity within essential tools like IT documentation systems and RMM platforms.

By automating security tasks and providing full visibility into SaaS environments, SaaS Alerts helps MSPs save time, reduce risks and deliver greater value to their customers.
